about my blag (or my current idea-for-a-blag)

In a previous job, I was a small-time journalist. In between school board meetings, I discovered that even in the less-than-riveting Jersey 'burbs there was a wealth of lesser-known stories about local history. I got interested in urban landscapes, and how they came to be the way they are. So when I opted to move somewhere more interesting (currently Somerville, MA), I could get lost in how much old/strange/historical (as well as new/challenging-to-navigate/entertaining) information was packed into the streets of Somerville/Cambridge/Boston.

I can't pretend to know everything that's going on, or used to go on, or will be going on, locally. But I've decided it's my project to explore.
